TGIF why don't we say! I pray your weekend will be very enjoyable despite this cold weather we are experiencing here in the DMV. If you're like me, you may find yourself hibernating in the warmth of the house until Spring arrives. LOL! But, on a serious note, I am truly praying that my brothers and sisters that are homeless will take the opportunity to take shelter. Tonight I am looking forward to hitting the streets with the Street Team to check in with the Homeless. So, I guess I am going to have to come out from hiding for a couple hours to put "me" on the back burner and serve others. God please keep me warm in Jesus name, amen.
Well it's truly an honor to be here on LLG again. I know there are gaps inbetween postings but hey that's life. I'm happy for this opportunity today. I'm not going to hold you up, but would like to encourage you for just a little while.
When we engage in Genesis 1:1-31, we read about the account of God's Creation. God chose to take six days to create what He desired and declared each day "good". We see how God works in decency and in order in all things. We take notice how He provides before hand what is needed for the next creation to survive. We see how He chosed us and created us in His image to serve a greater purpose, a purpose that is deeper then the day and night, the sun, moon, and stars, the birds in the air, the fish in the sea, or any animal, let's not forget about the vegetation plants, nor the trees that produces seed after its kind. Genesis 1:27 speaks, "So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." In the verse before that we take hold of how God spoke us into existence and declared our purpose (Genesis 1:26). In verse 28, we can acknowledge when God said, "Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground." was a blessing! Let's jump down to verse 31. It speaks, "Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!". At the end of each day, God looked and saw what He made was good. But in verse 31, He looked over all in unison and declared it "very good" including each one of us (we should be blushing at this).
So we are about to wrap up but let me leave you with these four encouraging points;
1) God spoke each creation into being.
What ever need to exist in your life, God has the power to speak it. There is nothing too hard for Him and He is an awesome Father who is "I AM" and is "Able" to do exceeding and above all we may think or ask. He speaks daily to His children, it's up to us to seek Him diligently.
2) After God spoke it, it manifested, it came to pass.
There is nothing that can come against God point blank. If you are in Christ and Christ is in you, whatever God says goes. No matter the circumstance, dispair, mistake, or anything negative. If God is for us, "who" can be against us? This we must bind in our hearts and run on.
3) God checked it out and approved it as good before moving on to the next thing He did.
God did not rush through any of His creation. Even though we do not know His exact timing, for His timing is different than ours, I honestly do believe He took His time and worked in a divine order. Even in our lives, in our seasons He takes His time with us. He is not the Author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). We should check with Him in our daily living before moving on to the next thing. This will protect us from running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
4) God created what was necessary first, in order for His plan to operate sucessfully. For example, in order for plants and trees to grow, water and light is needed. God spoke these things in place before He spoke the plants and trees into existence, The fish needed the sea, the birds needed the sky and the plants and trees needed the dry ground in order to fulfill their purpose and God created what was needed before placing them is their designed place. We needed food to survive and God created the plants and trees for us to eat before He created us. Our purpose was stated to reign over the fish, birds, livestock, and animals, each was created before we were spoken into existence and blessed to fulfill this purpose. Let's remember God will not create and position you in an environment in which you cannot survive in. We serve a Mighty God, a God of integrity. So when we are faced with a challenging position, let's not get scared and buck down, instead let's arise, trust, and move forward into the exciting plans God has created for our lives. Be encouraged that God knows exactly what He is doing, He pays full attention to it all, down to the nitty gritty. Don't forget when God looked over all He created and declared it not just good, but "very good" you were included in that statement of truth.
May God continue to manifest exciting truths in our lives as our relationship grows deeper with Him. May we as a family continue to spread the Good News to individuals God may bring our way. Let us not be ashame, but be willing in a loving way to witness to them that are poor (individuals that has yet to experience what we have by grace experienced in Christ). May our hearts be searched and forever changed. May we learn from our past and move forward with thanksgiving, striving to live a life of obedience. Father, we thank You for forgiving us and loving us beyond what we deserve, May we be enlighten with Your wisdom and love to fulfill our purpose. May You speak to the hearts of our homeless sisters and brothers to accept shelter on these brutal cold days and nights. We love you and appreciate all You do for us and with us. In Jesus Name, amen.
